Hon Hai announced today that, as Taiwan continues to face a plateau in COVID-19 cases, the company—being a member of the Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association (TEEMA) and the MIH Electric Vehicle Alliance—will procure rapid test kits through its subsidiary distributor from overseas to support epidemic prevention efforts among association and alliance members.
Market sources indicated that Hon Hai’s subsidiary would release the rapid test kits at cost price, inclusive of tax and shipping, making them available to TEEMA member companies in need, in order to strengthen their COVID-19 prevention measures.
In response to media inquiries, Hon Hai confirmed that, given the ongoing pandemic plateau, it is leveraging its subsidiary distributor to source rapid test kits from abroad, in support of TEEMA and MIH alliance members’ epidemic prevention work.
TEEMA recently held its 26th General Assembly, during which Hon Hai Chairman Young Liu was elected as the convener of the Supervisory Board.
Hon Hai is also a key driving force behind the MIH Electric Vehicle Alliance. According to its official website, the alliance currently comprises 2,364 global software and hardware companies, spanning 64 countries and regions worldwide.
